What can I say New York City is one trip that was long overdue. I enjoyed my time in the east coast (I stayed in NJ as well) and I miss it dearly. The people were not as mean as I thought they would be, and the food was great!
Do know that my pictures are out of order, and most of them are “sigh-see” photos. Other than that, I plan on making it out there again. They say NYC is not for everyone, but if you come from big city, you shouldn’t having a problem having a great time.

For someone who had been up for almost 24 hours, I couldn’t have been more excited. If you know me well, you know I’ve been looking forward to this trip forever! I took this in Hacknsack,NJ. This city reminded me of Texas (I wasn’t home sick one bit throughout the trip).

I was going to tweet this pic and ask my followers on twitte r@FolakeBolatiwa) to help me pic a snack, but I was too busy deciding on what to get. I can’t help that I’m a little indecisive sometimes (especially when it comes to healthy eating).

And then there was FRUIT! :)

I wish I took a picture of my suit case and all the shoes I brought. I’m pretty sure I’d fit in fine.

Brooklyn Bridge

This is a random promotional sign for a festival in Brooklyn. I took this while we were in Biggies neighborhood.

One of the Notorious B.I.G. Murals.

The beautiful Flatiron Building.

My first stop (when I arrived to the city) was In Manhattan near the Chelsea area. I had brunch with my cousin and aunt and the food was AMAZING!! The name of the restaurant is “The Almond” (@Almond_NYC).

The anticipation!

The Yankee Stadium was one of the first landmarks I saw as I was leaving the airport and heading to New Jersey.

My cab ride experience was interesting to say the least. The driver swore “the traffic was never this bad”. Humm, I beg to differ.

HELLO TIMES SQUARE! <3

This kid will be famous in the near future, I’m sure of it.

The backyard view of the brownstone I stayed in.

Leaving New Jersey and on our way to NYC!

Arriving at LaGuardia Airport.

A colorful mural that caught my eye.

My view of Lady Liberty from Brooklyn.

Times Square

I had to get a picture of the Naked Cowboy. He reminded me of home (the hat and the boots).

I discovered these at the Philadelphia airport on my way back home. One word, AMAZING!

Taxi ride to NJ.

Traffic, what’s new.

Bittersweet….The new World Trade Center was definitely a sight to see, I can’t wait until it’s done.

The street I stayed on. I miss it so!

Forever Toys!

Madison Square Garden

The 12 bagels I brought home for my mom. I don’t know what they put in these bagels, but they’re addicting. I wouldn’t mind eating one right now lol.

The Highline.

Before we entered in the tunnel.

I’m pretty sure my prayer worked! ;)

Highline

The grocery store in NJ was different.

My last night in Brooklyn on Smith Street.

Heading back to the South and missing the east coast at the same time. I’m looking forward to my next arrival so get ready east coast!
Look out for my next post today. I have a few pictures from my last vacation that
I’ve been wanting to share with you all, so stay tune!

It’s never to early to think about fall fashion! I’m looking forward to the different colored pea coats!

Hello everyone!
As you can see I haven’t written a post in months, but I do plan on starting back up again. I hope you all are enjoying your summer and getting some much needed sun!
